One drives into tranquillity, leaving behind the desire for TV and technology in favour of a piece of history on this family farm where the moon and farmyard animals take priority. Ride horses, walk in safety, listen to the birds or plan your next function here. Alet and Alida are most hospitable and love to share their amazing collection of furniture and bric-a-brac gathered over the past 20 years, now displayed with love and care in the four newly-built units. Three days could easily have stretched to a week….

Our stay at Schaftplaas was fantastic. We enjoyed every moment of it and the place was breathtaking. I did send them a review on Facebook, but will do it again. With great pleasure, I give them ★★★★★. Why? They have the most beaut place and Alet was very very friendly. To top it all off, she brought us breakfast, that was to die for. Alet and her daughter and also Sophie, they was excellent at everything.
